About the Pakistan Zakat Calculator 2026
Free Pakistan Zakat Calculator 2026 covering the Government of Pakistan notified Nisab of Rs 503,529 (SBP BPRD Circular No. 03 of 2026, Notification CE-1001(36)/NISAB/1446-47/2026-48 dated 16 February 2026), with verified 26 June 2026 gold and silver prices (24K gold Rs 434,500 per tola, Rs 37,252 per gram; 24K silver Rs 6,890 per tola, Rs 591 per gram). Calculate Zakat at the obligatory 2.5 percent rate across all zakatable asset categories: cash in hand, bank balances, NSC, Behbood and other saving certificates, gold and silver jewellery (tola or grams), stocks and mutual funds (including Al Meezan, NIT, MCB Arif Habib), business inventory at market value, and receivables. Pick Hanafi silver Nisab (the lower threshold most Pakistani Muslims follow) or Hanbali gold Nisab (Saudi default). Pakistani expats working in Saudi Arabia, UAE, UK or US: switch currency to SAR, AED, GBP or USD and the gold and silver per-gram defaults update automatically. Smart Nisab handling: for PKR + silver mode, the calculator uses the authoritative Government of Pakistan Rs 503,529 Nisab by default (matching the bank auto-deduction threshold applied on the first day of Ramadan), with an opt-out to use live silver-based calculation. Quick-lookup cards show Zakat on 1 tola gold (Rs 10,862 at today rate), 7.5 tola gold (Rs 81,469, exact Nisab amount), 1 lakh cash (Rs 2,500), 5 lakh cash (Rs 12,500), and 1 crore cash (Rs 250,000) for instant reference without retyping. Deductions field handles short-term debts (immediate bills, one year of mortgage installments) following classical Hanafi rulings, long-term mortgage principal is not deducted. All gold and silver prices are editable so you can override with today rate from your local sarafa bazaar (Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Saddar Multan, Hyderabad) or Saudi gold souk. The default base reflects verified late June 2026 Pakistani spot prices. How to use the Pakistan Zakat Calculator 2026
- Pick your currency: PKR (default for Pakistan), SAR (Pakistani expats in Saudi Arabia), AED (UAE), USD (US-based), GBP (UK-based). Gold and silver per-gram defaults update automatically. The Pakistan Government Nisab Rs 503,529 hardcoded value applies only to PKR + silver mode.
- Pick your Nisab standard: Silver (Hanafi) is the lower threshold most Pakistani Muslims follow, catches more zakat-eligible wealth. Gold (Hanbali) is the Saudi default and uses a much higher threshold. Hanafi is recommended for Pakistanis unless your scholar has guided otherwise.
- Enter cash in hand and bank balances separately (includes NSC, Behbood, fixed deposits, profit-and-loss sharing accounts). All values in the currency selected above.
- Enter your gold weight in tola (Pakistani default, 1 tola = 11.664 grams) or grams. Includes jewellery and bullion. Hanafi position: jewellery in regular use is still zakatable. Override the default gold per-gram price (Rs 37,252 in PKR as of 26 June 2026) if your local sarafa bazaar shows a different rate today.
- Enter silver weight if you own any. Same tola or gram unit applies. Update silver per-gram price (Rs 591 in PKR today) with your local rate before final payment.
- Add other zakatable assets: stocks and mutual funds at current market value (Al Meezan Islamic funds, NIT, MCB Arif Habib, sole-trader business inventory at sale price, not cost), receivables (money owed and likely to recover).
- Subtract short-term debts: immediate bills, utility dues, one year worth of mortgage installments. Do NOT deduct long-term mortgage principal, that is a Hanafi position from classical fiqh.
- Read the result. If net wealth is at or above Nisab AND has stayed at that level for one full lunar year (Hawl), Zakat at 2.5 percent of net wealth is obligatory. Use the quick-lookup cards for instant reference on common amounts.
