About the BOP Solar Financing Calculator 2026: Bank of Punjab EMI

Free Bank of Punjab solar financing calculator, with one thing said upfront: BOP does not publish a retail solar markup anywhere on its public site. Its brochure says only that the rate is an affordable markup rate. The default rate in this calculator is therefore a labelled ESTIMATE used so the tool has somewhere to start, and it should not be quoted as BOP's rate. For a real number you have to call the bank on UAN 111-267-200 or visit a branch. What BOP does publish is the shape of the product: financing up to Rs 5 million on a secured basis, tenure up to 7 years, a minimum income around Rs 40,000, and eligibility restricted to Punjab-domiciled applicants, which rules the product out for most of the country. BOP also runs a separate commercial track called Shamsi Tawanai for installations from 4 kW to 1 MW, published at 1-Year KIBOR plus 5 percent over up to 8 years with a 3-month grace period, and that one is assessed on business cash flow rather than salary. Both tracks are modelled here.

BOP does not publish a retail solar rate, so 14 percent here is a labelled estimate for modelling only and should not be quoted as BOP's rate. Provincial-bank subsidised solar generally lands somewhere in the low-to-mid teens, which is why the estimate sits there, but only a branch quote is real. Call UAN 111-267-200.

The default below is therefore an ESTIMATE used so the calculator has somewhere to start, not a BOP figure, and you must call the bank for a real quote. BOP is also Punjab-domicile only, and its separate Shamsi Tawanai track is a commercial product for 4 kW to 1 MW. Minimum income for this product is Rs 40,000 a month. How to use the BOP Solar Financing Calculator 2026: Bank of Punjab EMI

  1. Pick your track. Retail solar is the household product; Shamsi Tawanai is the commercial track for 4 kW to 1 MW.
  2. Read the rate note carefully. On the retail track the markup shown is an estimate, not a BOP figure, because BOP publishes none.
  3. Set the system size in kW.
  4. Set the installed cost per kW.
  5. Set the down payment, minimum 20 percent.
  6. Replace the markup with whatever BOP quotes you on the phone or at the branch. That is the only real number.
  7. Set the tenure, up to 7 years on retail and 8 on Shamsi Tawanai.
  8. Enter your current monthly bill to see whether the instalment is self-funding.
