About the UBL Car Calculator 2026 (Drive EMI, 20 Lakh = Rs 34,800/mo)
Free UBL car calculator for UBL Drive, the bank's conventional auto financing product, and UBL Ameen, its Islamic alternative. Quick answer first: a Rs 20 lakh car with the SBP-mandated 30 percent down payment (Rs 6 lakh down, Rs 14 lakh financed) over 5 years comes to roughly Rs 34,800 per month at a mid-range indicative rate. Rs 15 lakh gives about Rs 26,100, Rs 25 lakh about Rs 43,500, Rs 30 lakh about Rs 52,200, and Rs 40 lakh about Rs 69,600, all at the same 30 percent down over 5 years. Enter your own price, down payment, tenure and rate above for exact figures.
On the rate: UBL Drive is KIBOR-linked and published indicative rates span a wide band, roughly 15 to 25 percent per annum depending on source, customer segment and the KIBOR level on the day you sign. That band matters more than it looks. On the same Rs 14 lakh financed over 5 years, 15 percent gives about Rs 33,300 a month and 25 percent about Rs 41,100, a difference of roughly Rs 4.7 lakh over the full term. UBL offers both fixed and floating options, so ask which one your offer letter carries before you sign, because a floating rate can move during the term while a fixed one cannot.
Where UBL stands out is eligibility rather than price. Minimum income is around Rs 35,000 for salaried applicants, the lowest among the major banks and well below Bank AL Habib at around Rs 60,000 or Meezan at around Rs 80,000. Self-employed applicants need around Rs 50,000. Age range is 21 to 60 for salaried and 21 to 65 for self-employed, and a clean e-CIB record is required. That makes UBL the realistic starting point for a first-time buyer whose salary would be turned down elsewhere, even though its rate is not the cheapest on the market.
The trade-off is the deposit. UBL asks a minimum 30 percent down, the same as MCB and higher than HBL's 15 percent or Bank Alfalah's 15 to 20 percent, and it will accept up to 70 percent if you want to bring the instalment down. So UBL pairs a low income bar with a high cash-up-front requirement, which is the opposite shape to HBL. Tenure runs 1 to 5 years; Meezan Car Ijarah is the only product in the market that stretches to 7 years, and only on small cars.
UBL Ameen is the Shariah-compliant route and uses Diminishing Musharakah, not leasing: you and the bank co-own the vehicle from day one and your ownership share grows with each payment until you hold it outright. This is structurally different from Meezan Car Ijarah, where the bank owns the car throughout and you pay rent for its use, with ownership transferring at the end. Both are Shariah-approved; pick on terms and processing time rather than assuming they work the same way. Conventional UBL Drive is typically faster to approve.
SBP Prudential Regulations apply on top: car financing is capped at Rs 3 Million in aggregate across all banks combined, and tenure ceilings vary by engine displacement. Rates are indicative and revised periodically, so confirm the figure on your UBL Key Fact Statement or offer letter before signing, since that is the number that governs your instalment schedule.
