About the Zakat Calculator 2026: Nisab, Gold, Silver & Savings

Free Zakat calculator that works in your own currency: US dollars, British pounds, Saudi riyals, UAE dirhams or Pakistani rupees. The rules are the universal ones, not tied to any country: Nisab is 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver, valued at the live prices you can edit; Zakat is due at 2.5 percent on zakatable wealth, cash, bank balances, gold, silver, investments, business inventory and strong receivables, minus debts currently due, provided the total has stayed at or above Nisab for one full lunar year. The calculator shows both Nisab thresholds against your total, tells you plainly whether you owe, and itemises the 2.5 percent. Gold and silver can be entered in grams or tolas. For Pakistan-specific rules, the state-notified Nisab that banks use for Ramadan deductions and the CZ-50 exemption form, see the dedicated Pakistan version.

Verify gold and silver rates locally before final Zakat payment.

Default gold and silver prices are verified as of 26 June 2026. Override the per-gram rates below with your local sarafa bazaar or Saudi gold souk rate on the day you calculate. Consult a qualified scholar for complex cases (business partnerships, receivables that may not recover, agricultural Zakat / Ushr).

Pick the currency you hold your savings in. Prices for gold and silver adjust with it.

The silver standard gives the lower threshold, so more wealth qualifies; most Hanafi scholars use it. Gold is common in Shafii and Hanbali practice.

1 tola = 11.664 grams. 7.5 tola gold = 87.48 g Nisab.

Cash and savings

Includes NSC, Behbood, fixed deposits, profit-and-loss accounts.

Gold and silver (24K equivalent weight)

Includes jewellery and bullion. Hanafi: jewellery in regular use is still zakatable; Hanbali / Shafii: it is exempt.

PKR default 38,898/gram = Rs 453,706/tola, read 17 August 2026. Bullion moves daily, so put your own sarafa rate here.

PKR default Rs 582/gram (today market rate). Worth knowing: the Government Nisab of Rs 503,529 implies silver at about Rs 822/gram, which is where it stood when the notification was issued in February. At today's Rs 582/gram the market silver Nisab works out near Rs 356,000, so the government threshold now sits well above it. If you follow the strict Hanafi silver Nisab you may owe Zakat below the level at which your bank deducts automatically.

Other zakatable assets

Immediate bills, utility dues, one year of mortgage installments. Do not deduct long term mortgage principal.

How to use the Zakat Calculator 2026: Nisab, Gold, Silver & Savings

  1. Pick your currency. Gold and silver default prices adjust to it, and you can overwrite them with today's local rates.
  2. Choose the Nisab standard. Silver gives the lower threshold and is the common Hanafi choice; gold is common in Shafii and Hanbali practice.
  3. Enter cash in hand and bank balances.
  4. Enter gold and silver you own, in grams or tolas.
  5. Add investments, business stock and money reliably owed to you.
  6. Enter debts due now; they reduce the zakatable total.
  7. Read the result: your total against both Nisab thresholds, and the 2.5 percent due if you cross one.
